Thirty and Flirty and Thriving

Dear Thirties,
Nice to meet you.  I didn't think you'd be here so soon, but I suppose there's nothing I can do about that now.  I think we should be life long friends. . . or maybe at least good pals for the next 10 years.  I'll take care of you and you make life good for me.  What do ya say?

PS - Yes, that blog title is from this movie.  Thank you for noticing.

Hot Dish at Cycle

These fine folks recently visited Cycle in Phoenix:

Party of 4

Here's what they shared for snacks:

Here are the main courses:

Please note the following facts:

1. I’m not a foodie
2. I recognize actual “foodies” likely don’t enjoy that title
3. My photography skills are lacking
4. More often than not, I started eating before remembering to take a picture
5. I’m not going to attempt an actual review, but you should know this was a LOVELY meal
6. The chef was Joel LaTondress
7. Check out AZ Hot Dish Inc. on Twitter

Reason for the Season

Happy Labor Day!  There are several reasons why we should be celebrating . . .

1.  The economical and social contributions of workers. (that's official, wikipedia said so.)
2.  A 3-day weekend!
3.  The "END of summer" . . . although Phoenix temps don't quite subscribe to that notion.
4.  Beaches, lakes, pools, BBQs, popsicles, road trips, and relaxing.

However you're spending the holiday, hope it's as enjoyable as twirling around on a beach! Which rocks, FYI:

Bits + Pieces {Funk Style}

I'm in a bit of a funk.  A "I'm-Turning-30-Soon-Getting-Ready-To-Move-Its-Hot-As-Hell-Here-And-Timing-For-Everything-Is-Crap-FUNK".  So whilst I'm digging my way out of it, let's look at dozen pictures of nonsense that look somewhat interesting thanks to the Instagram iPhone app:

One:  Otter Pops, it's how I do.
Two:  Matt's Big Breakfast, if you haven't been  then GO
Three:  PB&C.  That's peanut butter and celery for those that prefer the obvious.
Four:  Ruby and Tiger, my cutey-cute nieces.
Five:  Dinner.
Six:  Gin & Tonic whilst the boy cooks.
Seven:  Fruit of choice.
Eight:  Oh, have I mentioned I'm a NYY fan?
Nine:  This will be the color palette in one of our bathrooms.
Ten: Crabtree & Evelyn hand therapy
Eleven:  Wine with the VMAs
Twelve:  I mix gold and silver.  It's fine.

PS - Linking up here, today.
