Rants 'n Raves

Happy Tuesday . . let's dish:

1. Seeing friends anything less than happy.

2. Rain and lots of it. (I know, I know. . . I live in England)

3. People I love not getting along with each other.

4. Lack of communication from landlords (Yep, still.)

1. Cool weather, despite the rain, I’ll take the 60-degree June! (sorry AZ)

2. Charming English Towns

3. Warm scones with jam and clotted cream. HEAVEN.

4. Less than 30 days till I see my man friend.

Dear Pinterest,
Have I told you lately that I love you?  I'm slightly obsessed with your website, and I can't belive it's taken me this long to write you a dear little letter to express my adoration.  If anyone out there hasn't heard of you or isn't already using you, they must surely be living under a rock.  Which I mean, that's cool, if you like under-rock living . . . but here's my suggestion, get outta there and start pinning some shit!

The basic concept is catagorizing lists of all your favourite things in the form of mood boards.  DID YOU HEAR THAT? LISTS! CATAGORIES! FAVOURITE THINGS! MOOD BOARDS!  Dude, if people were hear right now they'd be like lower the decible lady . . . and I'd be like, no I don't think you understand the level of excitement I'm trying to express . . . and they'd be all I'm pretty sure I get it, and I'd be all, BUT DO YOU REALLY?!  Uh huh, something like that.

The point is, if you're not already on Pinterest and need an invite let me know and I'd be honored to send you one.  If you are already on there leave me a comment with your details, I'd love to follow you and see what floats your boat.

Lovely Shadows

Dear PrettyLady,
Remember when I blogged THIS?  It’s a B-E-A-UTIFUL thing to see it’s turned into this:

© Letters and Lists 2011

We seem to be constantly reminded how hard relationships are, but moments like these remind us it is all worth it. Yes, it can be difficult and no it’s not always sunshine and rainbows . . .but lest we forget that there is an amazing-giddy-love out there and we shouldn’t settle for anything less. Of course, being on the beach in an FAB hotel doesn’t hurt, either.

V&A Tomfoolery

I've fallen deeply in love with the Victoria and Albert Museum.

One:  because Queen Victoria is my favourite monarch of all time.
Two:  they have interactive lists of instructions on being cool . . .

Rants 'n Raves

I’ve seen similar style lists on many a blog before, and for me this week has been all over the place, so it’s a perfect time to blog it out:

1 Passive aggressive landlords
Immature adults
People who BS their way through EVERYTHING
Those that push and shove on the tube

1 Flatmates who order wine by the bottle
2 Friends who don’t hesitate offering to help
3 Lovers being just a text away
4 –
Getting new shoes*

*I HAD to have them, they are the “French Girl’s Converse

These boots weren’t made for packin’

1. I’ve purchased 8 pairs of boots since living in London.

2. I don’t have room for all these new boots in my luggage.

3. I’d only casually mentioned 3 of these pairs to the BF.

4. I then told the BF about 4 subsequent pairs in an alternate conversation.

5. I think it’s romantic to discuss footwear it seems.

6. I quizzed the BF on how many pairs of boots I’d purchased recently.

7. He should have said 7 as it is indeed the sum of 3 + 4.

8. He answered 8.

9. He said he knew that I’d have a secret pair of boots I wasn’t telling him about.

10. Damn, busted.

11. It is hot in Arizona

12. I wouldn’t call it a boot wearing state.

13. That is unless you’re talking about cowboy boots.

14. You know, because it’s all cactus and tumble weeds around them there parts.

15. A friend of a friend suggested I just create more boot related events upon home.

16. Guess what? I’m going to have a boot party and YOU ARE INVITED!
